1 The static / complete form

This project expresses the interdependent and symbiotic relationship between humans and nonhumans through artistic representation. Our society has experienced industrial development and the progress of urbanization in the last two centuries. However, these changes have also led to a progressive detachment of humans from the soil, ground, and other species. Through the composition of the 3D scanned human hand and various plants (both flowers and vegetables) and animating the process of their gradual return from fragments to complete forms, this piece of work is to advocate the mutual-nurturing relationship that people and other species should facilitate. The hand is not only a symbol of man as labor, representing the desire to return to the land and participate in productive activities, but also in the form to simulate a fertile soil ground, with generative power to nurture other species that are related to our lives and the environment we live in.
