Inspired by the Hidden Room assignment at the GSD, we decided to design a game with two modes: an editor mode and an explorer mode. The editor mode allows players to construct a three-dimension maze with the use of cubes and sloped geometries, all in order to conceal yellow hidden room geometries within a 10X10 grid space. The explorer mode allows players to solve these mazes by moving through them. To do so, players can transition across planes via the sloped geometries. The mazes can then be shared online so that others might solve them. The player whose creation takes the longest to solve will get a higher score, while the fastest solver is similarly rewarded. In addition to player created levels, the game will feature ready-made levels by the developers.

In this assignment, we focused on creating a proof-of-concept for movement in the explorer mode. The player character is rotated on an x-axis placed at its feet as it encounters sloped surfaces. It is stopped from clipping through said surfaces and from leaving the ground by snapping back to it whenever the distance from the characters midpoint to the ground is changed.
