Personal Space
Intersection of Personal Bubbles
Our idea emerged by examining the interactions of 'personal spaces. We explored several ways of materializing these interactions, from stretching one's own space, to merging with other's space, to tearing up the personal bubble. To best represent this narrative, we decided to use a motion-sensing input device, Kinect. It allowed us to track multiple joints within the body and create a multi-user experience. We wanted to present this experience both through projection where the participants interact with their bubbles and each other in a performative manner as well as real-life rendering where these interactions and
personal bubbles are overlaid over each other.
