Our project furthers the investigation we started last assignment into non-planar 3D printing. We expanded our geometric inputs, improved our script to create smoother output toolpaths, and wrote created new analytical tools. We also experimented with a new target product: lampshades. New constraints provided new opportunities, and the light from inside our prints beautifully emphasizes the non-linear toolpaths. We experimented with uploading our scripts to ShapeDiver in order to take advantage of their UI, but ultimately decided that our project is best left as a tool for designers.
